Opening of the exhibition by Ksenija Mikor and RGB series: Cogo meets Orbe with VJ iøsub $ ystems

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Velenje Youth Square, we present the first chapters of the growing audio book of memories of a space that marked the growing up of many generations of local youth and dictated the pulse of the local youth cultural and artistic scene.

The narratives of loyal individuals will be complemented by a photographic exhibition of portraits of Ksenija Mikor.

After the presentation and opening of the exhibition, the venue is taken over by the Cogo Society, which has already brought many prominent domestic and foreign representatives of electronic music to our city.

RGB Series: Cogo meets ORBE

This year’s first club edition of the RGB Series techno series, in collaboration with the k𝗼𝗻𝗦 platform, is attended by the penetrating Spanish DJ and producer Fernando Sanz, better known to the public as 𝗢𝗥𝗕𝗘. He is the owner of the now established vinyl label Orbe Records, where he releases his own rhythmically psychotic techno, which in recent years has opened the doors to world-renowned labels such as 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗲-𝗘𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿, 𝗧𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 and 𝗔𝘅𝗶𝘀. For all fans of black plastic and turntables, the Velenje audience will be presented with a vinyl only DJ set, accompanied by Cogo residents 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗸𝗲, 𝗠𝗮𝗰-𝟭𝟬 and 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗿. The space will be visually changed by 𝗶ø𝘀𝘂𝗯 $ 𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀, behind which stands the Velenje man 𝗘𝗿𝗶𝗸 𝗞𝗮𝗽𝗳𝗲𝗿, who has been co-creating and designing the Pattern City program in Velenje with his innovative ideas for four years. iøsub $ ystems was founded in 1996 by Erik Kapfer and Damir Šmit, and was later joined by Jani Romih. The project was created with the aim of real-time visualization of electronic music live with the help of new technologies. Very quickly, the idea of real-time creative monitoring of music with visual interpretations placed arbitrarily in the space became very interesting, so their project was part of the events 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗢𝗳 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲, 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵 and 𝗔𝗺𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗺 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁, to name just a few . Since 1991, Erik Kapfer has participated in more than 15 major festivals and visually supported DJs such as Carl Cox, Plastikman, Jeff Mills, Westbam, Space Djs, Josh Wink, David Morales, Umek, etc.
