Astra Taylor: Talk to the neighbors

https://aksioma.org/reprogramming/

How can we act collectively in an age of extreme polarization, isolation, dehumanization, and dystopian imagination? What can we build from the ashes of the Arab Spring and movements like Indignados and Occupy Wall Street? Astra Taylor, a tireless organizer, is aware that a perfect social movement does not exist, but in a series of legendary attempts to improve existing ones, she has become one of the essential chroniclers of modern acts of collective resistance. Ever since she published the half-page tabloid newspaper Occupy !, inspired by the Occupy movement, she has spent her entire life debating the nature of community-driven power, pushing its boundaries, and analyzing its disagreements. We will delve into the prospects of human alliances against the invisible forces of technocratic regimes.
