Technology is strongly embedded in contemporary art practices and activities. It provides tools for a better understanding of its impact on modern life and enables the recognition of its basic structures and potential. More and more artists are using the latest technologies in their work. With a set of new tools, they are looking for innovative ways to engage critically, understand the world and look to the future. To get to know electronics in art practices, which is a constant part of the DIY e-art workshop, we are adding to the MP3ggers workshop state-of-the-art technologies for prototyping works of art or projects.

The MP3ggers is a simple audio player that, in its expanded form, becomes a tool for experimentation and creation. Workshop participants work with capacitive materials, microcontrollers and circuits and materialize a new audio device and soft triggers with computer implementation techniques (3d printing, laser milling and textile press).
