After a brief presentation of the mission and results of the konS ≡ Platform or Contemporary Investigative Art and the Centre for Creativity (part of MAO – Museum of Architecture and Design, Ljubljana) projects, we discussed with representatives of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport, and the Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development the challenges of changing traditional production mechanisms, the involvement of individuals and communities in shaping the necessary changes, and the culture of cooperation between the economic and creative sectors.

Panellists were: Anja Zorko, Head of Centre for Creativity (MAO), Jurij Krpan, representative of the konS≡Platform and artistic director of Kersnikova Institute, Peter Baroš, Adviser to the Minister of Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Katja CeglarScience Directorate at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Natalija Medica, Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, Aleš Ojsteršek, Head of the Education Development Sector at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Marko Hren, Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development.

Panellists learned about the fruits of the Centre for Creativity and the konS ≡ Platform for Contemporary Investigative Art, which are successfully strengthening the creative sector and linking it to the economy. During the discussion, all expressed their support for the efforts to promote art thinking as a contemporary approach to addressing current and emerging societal challenges. They noted that the education and creative sectors already have many points of convergence, while the economy is lagging behind in integrating innovation, insight and creativity into sustainable growth processes, but is already planning to do so.
