Let the children dive into learning about robotics and its impact in our daily lives! In addition to their practical usage, robots can also be helpful in creativity:

The intermedia workshop promotes an in-depth understanding of robotics and its involvement in art, security, production. Are we aware of the potential of new technologies that surrounds us? They enable us new ways of creativity – and this is the purpose of this workshop: to awake interest in new technologies and to understand both positive and negative effects of robotics and technological development.

Individual design is important

The workshop is designed to allow individual involvement and adapt according to participant’s abilities; starting with introduction part, where the role and operation of robots is presented. The creative part of the workshop is focused on use of devices. Participants will assemble a robot and define a program for function control. Through the creative process participants will collaborate, exchange opinions, intertwine and resolve complex technological terms and tools.

The BridA group, made up of graduates of the Venetian Academy of Fine Arts, was formed during their studies in 1996. The group, which creates its own productions in a wide field of contemporary art practices, exhibits both at home and abroad and participates in many international residency programs. abroad, in workshops and seminars. The works of the BridA group have been purchased for several international collections of contemporary art. In 2015, for 20 years of successful work in the field of art, she received the highest recognition of the Municipality of Nova Gorica, the France Bevko Award, and in 2018 the Tesla International Award. Among others are recipients of Iaspis scholarships awarded by the Swedish Ministry of Culture and Culture Bridges awarded by the British Council under the auspices of the EU.

Applications

The workshops are intended for children between the ages of 9 and 14 and are free of charge. No prior knowledge or additional tools are required to participate. The workshops are carried out in compliance with the ordinances on temporary measures to reduce the risk of infection and the spread of sars-cov-2 virus infection.
