Are you a music enthusiast and want to look into the guts of creating a musical effect? The dictator is best known for creating roaring riffs from the trumpets, but in recent years it has also been increasingly used by synthesizer enthusiasts, as it has benefited from the richness of the sound.
In the workshop, we will make a distorter that adds higher harmonic components to the output by transforming / distorting the input audio signal. It enriches the original sound, colors it and makes it rougher – crunchy. Among the many versions, we will make a distortion diode with diodes for soft and / or rough cutting. In addition to the input-output connectors, the device is adorned with a button to control the intensity of distortion and a button to control the low-pass filter added at the output.
At the end of the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to test the device in a combination of different sounds and effects, and the distorter will remain their property and they can include it in their further sound research.
