INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE // New Approaches to Learning: Research Learning and Creativity / Intertwining Technology, Art and Society in Exciting Artistic, Research and Educational Connections, Group Mapping and Public Discussion
Who
We invite teachers, mentors, providers of educational programs and everyone who is interested in different and, above all, different approaches to learning.
What and When
In the first part, you will get to know research learning through an experiential workshop, which will be conducted in various places in Slovenia. In the workshop, you will learn to distill the smell of your place, classroom, home or something else in a creative way. The workshops will take place in February and March 2022. An experiential workshop will take place in Ljubljana on 17 February 2022 at 5 pm in the Rampa Laboratory.
* Applications and suggestions for the location of the workshop should be sent to us by February 4, 2022 to: workshops@kons-platforma.org
In the second part, we invite you to bring the scents to the Cultural Bazaar, which will be held in Ljubljana on March 31, 2022. You will place them on a large map of Slovenia and write down your experience. Together we will create an artifact in the form of a thought pattern about the activity carried out and about the experience of research learning as a form of education. As part of the round table, you will then have the opportunity to participate in a discussion on research learning and the possibilities of connecting with the formal way of education.
Why
By participating, you will gain an interesting practical experience of connecting art and education in a fun way using the method of research learning and the principles of DIY, DIIT and hands on. Our mission is to inspire young people about scientific knowledge and technical solutions that change our lives and society as a whole. We sensitize young people and the wider society to change, understand science, technology and the arts, and form attitudes that help us understand the dynamics of modern society.
You are invited to join us!

The research learning methodology is modeled on the research and production activities of the American MIT Medialab (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA), where they swear by ‘indiscipline’, improvisations and experiments in discovering the technologies of the future.
The mission of research learning is reflected in the cooperation of experts in the field of art, education and science. By raising awareness, we inspire young people about scientific knowledge and technical solutions that change our lives and society as a whole. We sensitize young people and the wider society to change, understand science, technology and the arts, and form attitudes that help us understand the dynamics of modern society.
This kind of openness allows creators to strengthen their potential. Conditions have been created for unencumbered creative research, creation, reflection on new knowledge, technologies and aesthetics.
